NEW! FEATURED HOME AT 2016 MODERNISM WEEK!

Located outside of the windy zone in historic Sunmor Estates, the Easmor Alexander has convenient access to the airport and rental cars (with surprisingly infrequent and minimal air traffic noise, because it's not in the flight path). Please see our reviews.

You'll enjoy:

Large pool deck that faces the mountains and sunsets
Deck jets water feature
Hot Tub
Gas fireplace, fire pit, and outdoor BBQ
Multiple lounge areas, with plenty of sun and shade
Well equipped kitchen for dining at home
Plenty of fresh towels and linens

This 1958 gem was personally renovated by the owners in 2014 to bring it back its original architectural design with modern upgrades throughout.

Step inside to an open-concept home with post-and-beam vaulted ceilings and a whole living room wall of brand new windows and shades that overlook the pool, private patio, and San Jacinto Mountains.

All three bedrooms have comfortable beds and linens, large, bright windows, alarm clocks, bedside lamps, and portable fans. The master is on suite, with shower and tub, and has a 32-inch flatscreen TV (not hooked to cable, but equipped with an AppleTV) and poolside access. Both bathrooms have been completely updated with new vanities and upgraded original showers and bath.

The home was built in 1958 by the Alexander Construction Company who's premier midcentury modern architects were William Krisel and Daniel Palmer.

The owners look forward to sharing their mid-century modern vacation home with you!

Conveniences

Centrally located the “wind-free” zone, less than 2 miles to downtown Palm Springs. Minutes from the Palm Springs airport and dining. Beautiful mid-century homes all around the bike-friendly, walkable neighborhood. View the Tram Station light at night from the backyard and perhaps even fireworks on the 4th of July (check the local fireworks schedule)!

The owner(s) like to stress this home is ideal for a dream vacation and relaxation but is by no means a “party-central” home. Each guest is expected be as good a neighbor as the owner(s) themselves. Special events like weddings are NOT allowed. Palm Springs has strict sound ordinances that prohibit outdoor amplified sound. Review with management for clarifications.

Our stay was incredible, the interior design was amazing and really added to our experience. It is located in the perfect spot, everything we needed was nearby. Shelly & Gary were the best hosts, making our stay very enjoyable. Can't wait to go back! Our stay was wonderful!! This house is beautiful, clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. Loved the view of the mountains and the fireplace. Downtown is just 2 miles away, and we enjoyed the unique Palm Springs shops and restaurants. I was surprised that with the airport being nearby we didn't hear any airplane noise. We will definitely return and I highly recommend this home. Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Pet-friendly, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers

My partner and I recently stayed at this gorgeous mid century modern over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Our stay exceeded our expectations. Beautifully decorated, lacking for nothing! Location is superb - just a short drive to everything you would need in Palm Springs. Relaxing, comfortable, feels like home, everything you would need in a home is here! Pool is fantastic. Property manager is amazing - very responsive. We will definitely be back to this wonderful property. The house is comfortable, clean, and well maintained. It was recently renovated in a modern Palm Springs influenced way. The kitchen, dining room and living room flow into each other in a really comfortable way. The pictures on the website are very accurate. The location is very convenient, and the yard, pool and mountain views are great. The property manager Scott was great - he was friendly, responsive and professional, and had lots of great local recommendations.

I can't say enough about this little slice of mid-century magic. The house is beautifully turned out. It lives in a groovy neighborhood, and it's close to everything: hikes Tiki bars, the whole classic Palm Springs deal. But back to the house. You walk inside and the world disappears. You're in the era of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. The furniture, music and colors are all straight out of 1960. The amenities are in perfect shape; the place is quiet and comfortable. Did I mention the kitchen? It's totally cool. You won't want to leave. We loved it. Recommended for: Romantic Getaway

We escaped to the Easmor Alexander for a well-deserved weekend away. When we arrived it took several minutes just to take it in. Every detail of the little mid century midern gem was perfectly appointed. We thought we would go out to wine and dine all weekend but we opted, instead, to enjoy quiet evenings at "home". The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities to prepare our meals. Close to everything, including the best hiking in the desert, we got to fully take advantage of living the best of both worlds-a luxury little escape close to town for shopping and tiki bars, and we got to return to our "home". Didn't want to leave. Can't wait to go back. I'm glad we chose to rent a house for our first visit to Palm Springs. This property is as charming as advertised: bright, stylish, perfectly clean, well located, well equipped. Visitors to the house--all longtime renters--were really impressed with the owners' eye to detail and consideration of their guests' comfort. In fact, some family members accepted our invitation to stay with us and regarded their time at the house as a luxury experience. The neighborhood was great (with, surprisingly, no noise from the nearby airport); the beds were comfortable, with nice linens; there were plenty of towels; the kitchen was thoughtfully supplied with everything one might need for an enjoyable stay, most of it new. We had no trouble hosting a barbecue for 9 one evening; the only problem was deciding whether to eat inside or out. The backyard is lovely both day and night (we used the fire pit on several occasions). We were sorry that we didn't spend more time at home, because every minute there w

Our family stayed for five nights in mid-February and were very pleased. The neighborhood is pleasant, quiet, and convenient, and the house is well-equipped for a comfortable stay. We ate in, sometimes using the kitchen and sometimes the outdoor grill, and there was more than enough seating both inside and out. The beds are extremely comfortable and the showers excellent. The view of the mountains from the pool area met my expectations and provided the kind of serenity I have come to expect and cherish in Palm Springs. Scott Fields is a thoughtful and attentive person who makes renting a house an easy experience. I would definitely return to this house and recommend the property to others. Recommended for: Age 55+

Great house in a quiet neighborhood. Everything is clean, well maintained, and of good quality (Including my #1 which is bedding/linens). We were able to hear noise from the airport 3 times (Always during the day), two times were jets- and one time we had the thrill of seeing a WW2 era plane framed against the San Jacinto mountains (which is your view from the backyard). We also loved being able to cook in the well stocked kitchen, use the barbecue, and have the option to eat indoors or out. Check in was easy, Scott was punctual and very helpful: he always answered our calls and was even able to walk us through starting the dishwasher over the phone. You can tell he enjoys ensuring his guests have a good time while staying in Palm Springs. My husband and I spent 2 weeks at this lovely renovated mid-century home. The pictures are quite accurate as to the interior and backyard areas. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space and made use of the grill and the firepit. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes, glassware, and pots and pans. It is clean and tastefully decorated with a fresh 1950's vibe. Although it is near the airport, there is no jet noise and the entire neighborhood is very quiet. Its location is very near the downtown area, close to shopping and restaurants. Interstate 10 is not far away which makes it convenient to travel into Los Angeles to do additional sightseeing. Scott, the manager, was very friendly and helpful giving us good dining recommendations as well as being very interested in our suggestions and opinions regarding our stay. We enjoyed taking the tram to the top of the mountain, playing golf at some courses having spectacular desert and mountain views, and had fun being part of the Wheel of Fort

We returned to what we felt as home away from home for our second time at this wonderful mid century modern home. We fell in love with this vacation rental the first time we visited last October 2014. This trip we planned on staying here as a home base for our vacation. It worked out perfectly! We were able to drive to Nevada, Arizona and also to San Diego to visit friends and family as well as the seeing the Grand Canyon and Lake Havasu (Just a few highlights). Whenever we came home it felt like home away from home, everything so well maintained and beautiful! The best nights of sleep I've had in a while. It is so easy to relax here! The additions to this home such as the outside fire pit and inside bar were a treat, it shows how the owner of this home really care. We look forward to to our next stay. I also want to mention Scott the manager, he'a great. Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+,

Everything about this delightful home made us feel welcome. The property manager, Scott, was very helpful and answered all our questions. (He knows all the great places to eat - so be sure to ask!). The house is located in a quiet mid-century modern neighborhood and furnished with both style and comfort in mind. We loved all the special touches, like books about local architecture, and a very cool cocktail set. We especially enjoyed the pool in the evening. The backyard lights and water feature were amazing! I spent lots of time floating peacefully, while staring up at the stars in a clear desert sky. After a week it was hard to go home! This has become our favorite "second home" in Palm Springs Recommended for: Girls Getaway, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers
