From the time we arrived we knew we were in for a great relaxing stay at this great mid century oasis located in a quiet neighborhood. The check-in process was perfect. Scott met us at the house and did a quick walkthrough of the home's amenities and operating of all the little perks. Kitchen was fully stocked with the essential tools needed to prepare meals. The portable wall of glass provided a picturesque canvas of the rear yard which added to the relaxation. The home is WIFI equipped and this was a tremendous asset since we did work a bit between floating in the resort style pool. I could go on and on. Bottom line... don't pass this one up. A great option if you're seeking a comfortable getaway with modern conveniences.

I researched MANY houses/websites before I chose this beauty to celebrate my 50th bday with best friends. We loved the historic architecture with all its upgraded features. What a treat to be soaking in the pool/hot tub while watching tv - the backyard was our favorite part of the house. The landscaping was impeccable and provided privacy. Very convenient to downtown, airport and tram. Scott was wonderful to work with in booking this house, being available whenever needed and providing recommendations. We were very sad to leave but hope to return one day. I do hotel site inspections for a living so it was a nice change to rent a house (I had never done that before and neither had any of my friends). This was a fantastic first time experience and gave the celebration an upgraded feel from cramming into hotel rooms. We felt like rock stars!

I love the layout and feel of this house. The gated private entryway opens into a very functional kitchen and family room, out to a gorgeous pool area and outside barbecue, hot tub and fire pit. Its the kind of space that just keeps unfolding as you explore. The bedrooms have their own private outside sitting areas to hide from the family in. The master bedroom has a window over the bed that perfectly frames the red San Jacinto mountains. Quite stunning in the morning I was concerned about the above review that said the was house was dirty. I was able to contact the owner directly before we rented and was told the cleaning company had been fired. I found him very concerned and honest when answering my questions. The house was spotless when we got there. He also accurately answered my question regarding noise (I have a very noise sensitive husband), and it was in fact a very quiet and private house. The kitchen knives were even sharp a pet peeve of mine when renting houses.

Would highly recommend. This property was delightful in all aspects from the ideal features indoors to the "wow" factor of the backyard landscaping and pool. Has everything one would need and more. Would be a great family-type retreat too.

My wife and I met our grown children from the East Coast at this house to be able to spend time with them in the sun away from the damp climate of the Pacific Northwest. I am very discerning regarding travel accommodations. Most of our hotel stays begin with at least one in-house move, sometimes more, to settle on a room that I am satisfied with. I was more than a little hesitant about staying in a house where my options were more limited, but the Butterfly House far exceeded my expectations. Simply stated, situated in a peaceful neighborhood, it is elegantly appointed and well provisioned throughout. The electronics are superior and more than adequately met all of our requirements and those of our even more discriminating children -- for entertainment and the usual workload I sneak along on more extended trips. It was so refreshing to open the large sliding doors in the morning and let the outdoors in, then enjoy my morning coffee by the pool, the savored moment enhanced by the priv

We are lovers of modern architecture and first saw this house in person on the Palm Springs Modernism Week Tour in February, it was one of eight featured homes on the tour. We immediately fell in love with the place and couldnt believe it was a rental. The pictures really dont do it justice, it is so amazingly appointed and the open indoor/outdoor floor plan with the private patios and large outdoor lounge/kitchen/TV/seating area almost double the effective living space. The house was perfectly clean, not sure what happened with the other reviewer, but we were impressed at how clean and new everything was in the home. Our only problem was that one of the TV remotes didnt work, we called and someone showed up immediately it turned out the batteries needed replacing, other than that we had one day of rain, but were perfectly happy to move inside for our dinner party. The website pictures dont show an indoor dining table, but there is indeed one that seats six, so we ended up lighti

Beautifully done re-model of a classic mid-century modern house. Light, bright and feels much more open than a lot of mid-century houses. Great flow between the living areas and outdoor spaces. Nicely done interiors, very comfortable and laid back. Re-done bathrooms, walk-in master shower is awesome! Kitchen is on the smaller side, but has everything you need. Outdoor space is great! Pool, spa, outdoor kitchen, covered lounge area, fire-pit....we spent most of our time outside! My labradoodle Sophie loved the yard, plenty of room to run and play. I've stayed in several other mid-century houses in the area and wind has been an issue in the evenings. No wind issues with this house though! We would definitely stay here again, thanks for sharing your home!

Mid-century modern desert aesthetic at its absolute best! This Butterfly house is gorgeous, really comfortable PRIVATE, QUIET and has great electronic toys, including fast, fast, fast WIFI. ... and even better: next time I will be able to bring my dog as there is a doggie door and completely enclosed backyard (Mom can come too as there are no steps...) I will be staying here again soon!

My friends and I just returned from here and we had a great time. The house was beautiful and the outdoor entertaining/pool area was fabulous! The backyard had hedges and fences make it very private. The kitchen was well stocked with nice plates, utensils, martini glasses, everything I need for entertaining. The living room was comfortable and made it easy to hang out and relax (love the fireplace - really easy to operate.) Huge LCD TV with HBO and lots of entertainment, no need to ever leave the house! ... comfortable beds, plenty of extra blankets and towels and a washer/dryer. Overall: amazing house! I look forward to coming here again, next time for a longer stay.
