Time to get away? Time to relax and restore?

Built in 1961, this is one of the original 32 homes when Las Palmas was first developed. A Palmer/Krisel classic, this is architectural art at its finest. You'll find it's been lovingly cared and restored with an eye towards the original design and aesthetic. The wallpaper alone is thrilling!

The home is perfectly situated in the best area town. You’ll find great value in being walking distance to the North-end design district and even downtown. In just a matter of minutes, you’ll be strolling Palm Canyon and window shopping.

The floor plan is open with 1,800 sq. ft. of living space; the living room seamlessly flows into the kitchen and into the dining room. From the dining room, there are sliders to an outdoor patio and pergola for sunset dinners with friends. Dramatic views of the San Jacinto Mountains command your attention from almost every angle.

The kitchen is bright and open. You can easily prepare meals and cocktails without ever leaving your family and friends. Well stocked, you'll not want for entertaining here!

The two guest rooms offer a queen bed and closet, the master suite features a King bed. There is a guest bath in the hallway for visitors and the two guest rooms.

Relax poolside, as Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher did, and forget the world on the other side of the door. It’s a huge pool(pool heat is an optional/additional charge. See house rules for additional information),quiet and private. No spa/hot tub. But, there is a real wood-burning fire pit in the yard. Pick up some wood at the store... s'mores anyone?

Las Palmas is the premier neighborhood of Palm Springs. It's sometimes referred to as the 'Beverly Hills' of Palm Springs. This very affluent neighborhood is rich with architecture and Hollywood history. It should be noted this neighborhood has sound ordinances that are strictly enforced. The owner(s) like to stress this home is ideal for vacation and relaxation and is by no means a 'party-central' home. Each guest is expected be as good a neighbor as the owner(s) themselves. Special events like weddings are NOT allowed.

Great location, great service from Relax Palm Springs but the House disappointed The house was in the perfect location for us, Vista Las Palmas, surrounded by other mid-century modern houses and very pleasant roads for our morning walks. We also had great service from the rental agent Relax Palm Springs, from being met at the house when we arrived to quickly sorting out the odd problem and checking out. Excellent. The house itself did disappoint; it looked better in the pictures than in reality. The biggest disappointment was the outside space, unusually unwelcoming for Palm Springs, with bare planting and a barbecue which, after using once, we stayed away from. The kitchen pans were not non-stick so it was a battle to use them and then clean them afterwards. So we preferred to eat out. So we enjoyed the location and we enjoyed our stay for Modernism week and we were delighted with the service but disappointed with the house itself.

Great home in a great neighborhood. Relax Palm Springs was great! Very nice layout, comfortable beds. The pool was great and very private. The management company was awesome. They even brought us a roasting pan and meat thermometer for cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Just an FYI, there is no microwave.

Lovely midcentury modern with midcentury kitchen amenities. House is well designed and maintained. Desert landscaping, pool and location are excellent. Great air conditioning, comfortable beds. Kitchen lacks a microwave or tea kettle which makes reheating leftovers, making tea a challenge.

Nice house in a good neighborhood. The setting is very quiet and has good proximity to the commercial strip without being too close. The mid century modern vibe is great if you like that style. Our host was professional and the overall design experience was positive.

Lovely Alexander home in prime neighborhood. We stayed in this lovely home for almost month over the Christmas and New Years holidays. The property manager was very responsive and kind, and respected our desire to have privacy and enjoy a much needed break from our busy Manhattan lives. The sunrises and sunsets over the mountains to the West were photographic, almost unreal. Very beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped with all the tools a weekend chef could want, and everything was well maintained, spotless actually. Beds were super comfortable, with great pillows, both hard and soft. Best of all, the location: multi-million-dollar-homes-neighborhood, very quiet and yet a pleasant walk to Palm Canyon for cafes and restaurants (Trio, Workshop Kitchen, Koffi, etc.) Overall an excellent spot.

Wonderful Weekend. We stayed at this house over the Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful experience. The house is clean, quiet and everything is up to date. The temperature in Palm Springs was close to 100 each day and the air conditioning worked perfectly. I saw the prior review, but we had no issues with the house. The pool was crystal clear and we did not require heating which was actually a nice respite from the heat. It is close to town and in the nicest neighborhood in Palm Springs. We would definitely rent this house again!

Relaxing Elegance. This house is elegantly decorated and it's carefully chosen furniture reflects the architectural style. The Artist Retreat is situated in the upmarket Las Palmas neighbourhood where it is surrounded by many former celebrity homes. This property is well equipped for all your needs and with an excellent Property Manager at the end of the phone, nothing will be too much trouble. I cannot recommend Scott highly enough, we have now rented from him for 3 years and will be back again.

Private, relaxing, perfection! This beautiful mid century modern home was exactly what we needed to enjoy Palm Springs. Scott warmly greeted us at check in and provided restaurant recommendations and a map of the area. The home was spotless, very comfortable, and decorated with true mid century modern style. We especially enjoyed the privacy of the yard and pool. The neighborhood was quiet and upscale and we could walk to restaurants, bars and shops. I would highly recommend this home to friends. It's not a party house, but is an amazing retreat from our normal busy lives!

This was a perfect place for me to unwind, read my scripts and relax! It's a beautifully designed and decorated home. They've thought of everything. It has a great flow for parties. Preparing meals is easy with all the accoutrements, Its walking distance from town so it's easy to mosey and grab a great coffee, dinner or go for a hike. I also love kicking back with a cocktail in the yard at sunset surrounded by the majestic mountains. Palm Springs light cannot be beat and the setting at this house really works for me. I can't help feeling I'm in a fantastic old movie...I'm a fan and I'll definitely be back. Recommended for: Girls Getaway, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers

I visit Palm Springs two to three times a year and usually stay at the Colony Palms for it's great rooms, relaxed atmosphere and proximity to town. After staying here, I don't think I can go to Palm Springs and stay in a hotel again. Even though it's a rental, there is a style and comfort to this home that makes you feel like you're a homeowner in the most desireable area of Palm Springs. This home has wonderful views of the mountain, great sun by the pool with a wonderful outdoor shaded area for outdoor dining or just reading a book. Very quiet area but a quick walk to the design district with all the best furniture shops and our favorite restaurant Cheeky's/Birba. The house also comes with bikes as an added bonus. It's beautifully furnished with vintage furniture that's comfortable and stylish, not your typical cheap rental furniture. You'd be proud to have your friends visit you in this house. The pool is LARGE and the flow from indoors to outdoors is fantastic.

This mid-century, 3 bedroom dream house is flat-out fantastic, perfect for exploring Palm Springs and the surrounding terrain, or for just staying put with a margarita and friends by the pool, (because after arriving at this awesome home, that's all we really wanted to do). With a dramatic view of the San Jacinto foot hills, flanked by Royal Palms, a cozy fire pit and easy, open spaces for hanging out, we never wanted to leave. The house is stylishly appointed (the wallpaper in the master bedroom alone is worth staying here for) with plenty of room to entertain and lounge, the rooms are hotel-level comfortable, the kitchen is stocked for serious cooking and there are charming places to dine, indoors and out. We have stayed here several times, and always look forward to ending the night lounging with drinks and friends on the comfy carpet in front of the fireplace. Excellent coffee and restaurants are an easy 10 minute walk, and there are several stunning hikes nearby. It's a perfect pl

Nothing is more reassuring than arriving at a home and finding that it is not only exactly as advertised and photographed, but that it surpasses the images themselves. This home is beautifully decorated with authentic, mid-century period pieces and lots of original art. It felt light and airy, warm and welcoming the minute we entered. The surrounding homes are beautiful and architecturally interesting. The kitchen has everything you need to make a small meal or throw a dinner party for eight! We loved being able to eat both indoors and under the stars. I kept feeling Don Draper might just walk through the front door and ask me to pour him a glass of whiskey. The walk to town was easy and quick. We walked from the house to a great hike that started behind the Palm Springs Art Museum and quickly had us high, overlooking the desert cities. Management was super helpful and responsive. the owner had typed up a list of her favorite things to do, see, and eat in Palm Springs and we loved all

We spent the better part of a week here with our 3 kids. Perfect house for us and a fantastic location! We enjoyed walks in the neighborhood admiring the architecture of surrounding homes and the foot hills are amazing. Nothing like it in other areas of Palm Springs. This is definitely the area to be in. Restaurants, coffee and design district shopping are within a short walk. Going further south on Palm Canyon Drive also walking distance. The house had everything we needed (minus a microwave) with the bedrooms spacious, beds and linens hotel quality, great pool. Scott was personable, very responsive and easy to work with every step of the way. He was available for anything we needed. Other property owners / managers kept us hanging with only voicemail and unreturned calls. We will definitely be back. This house is a lovely example of an original Mid Century Modern home with tastefully updated kitchen and baths, as well as a unique, funky decor. The house felt quite spacious and easily accommodated our group of 4 adults. The outdoor space was most enjoyable with plenty of places to lounge by the pool or under the covered patio. The location was very convenient, being a few blocks from the Uptown Design District and many restaurants, making it a quick drive during the hot months, or a pleasant walk if the weather was cooler. The property manager, Scott, replied promptly to our booking and was available should we need anything.
