In an effort to keep travelers and our workers safe, we are following CDC recommendations to keep everyone safe. Please be patient as travel or hosting restrictions constantly change and we can't always set search parameters to ensure the home fits your travel itinerary. When considering this home, please DO NOT automatically book. Rather, send us an inquiry and allow us to authorize or ensure the dates will work before booking. We thank you, in advance, for your patience and understanding. To further accommodate the appropriate time between reservations, early arrivals will be limited and there will be no late check-outs.

The City of Palm Springs just mandated a masking order for anyone inside a local business. They've also mandated, for indoor dining, proof of vaccination or a negative co-vid test result within the past 72 hours.
We have invested in and are using an OSHA/EPA-approved, hospital-grade disinfectant on hard surfaces and high-touch areas throughout each home. If you need assistance while you are in residence and anyone from our team needs access to the house, they will be masked and gloved upon entry. We ask you wear a mask while we are present in the home.

Welcome to PS Starlet – the perfect backdrop for film aficionados and architecture lovers alike! This classic mid-century (1951) home is a red carpet walk of swanky interiors and name-dropping movie memories, grand enough to make any Hollywood starlet week in the knees. What better hostesses to keep you company on your next Palm Springs vacation then Babs, Judy, Ginger Rogers & more!
The home itself, built at an angle, uniquely focuses you to the outdoors: a sparkling pool, raised spa, and dramatic San Jacinto mountain views. In wind-free South Palm Springs, this is a 365-day vacation home where wind is rarely the issue. Here, your biggest issue will be too much sun, too much relaxation, too much NOT wanting to leave.
You enter the home and will be stunned by the large, open living and entertaining areas. The dining room smartly flows through to the HUGE family room with wet bar. Or head to the more formal, but delightfully comfortable lounge area which flows to the same family room. The family room features TV entertaining and a large, deep comfy sectional. Gather around the electric piano and tickle the ivories with the songs of yesteryear. Make a cocktail at the wet bar and play on. The lounge area offers comfortable seating for conversation if you can manage to talk while looking at the yard, pool and hypnotizing views just beyond the walls of glass.
The kitchen is just steps from the dining room. It has all the original midcentury charm since it’s build in the 50’s but updated where it counts with stainless steel appliances. The pass-through window over the sink allows the lemons and limes you’ll need for cocktails to keep the entertaining moving along!
Just off the kitchen you’ll find one of the guest rooms. It offers a queen bed and private bathroom with a step-in shower. Just off the lounge area, heading to the other side of the house, you’ll find another guest room. Perfect for visiting families, this guest room offers two twin beds. Heading down the hallway, the third guest room, with a queen bed, is immediately to your right. Uniquely, this room has separate his/her closets and a private door to the attached guest bath. The Master Suite is worthy of any of the starlets featured throughout the home: large, comfortable with a King bed and large private bath. The Master bath is original, but updated with fixtures important to a modern life. Miss Piggy is featured artwork in the master bath. It was her favorite bathroom in a recent photo layout on desert living. There’s also a door from the master and huge picture windows from the master to the outdoor living areas.
The yard is where all the action is. A large pool(pool heat is an optional/additional charge. See house rules for additional information)  & new, raised hot tub (big enough for 6-8) with lounging seating just to the side ensures that conversations don’t stop when moving from inside to outside. The landscaping is mature and offers the ultimate in privacy. 6 chaises ensure there's plenty of options for guests to get sun, and the grill is perfect for preparing the main feature for a quiet dinner in or an informal nosh under the stars!
Tahquitz River Estates is a premier neighborhood of Palm Springs. Adjacent to Deepwell, this affluent neighborhood is rich with architecture and Hollywood history. It should be noted this neighborhood (and the City, too) has sound ordinances that are strictly enforced. Music outside in not permitted and the pool noise “curfew” is 9PM. The owner likes to stress this home is ideal for a dream vacation and relaxation but is by no means a “party-central” home. Each guest is expected be as good a neighbor as the owner(s) themselves. Special events like weddings are NOT allowed.

Its as good as it looks. We were able to stay 4 nights while in town for a wedding. The place is clean, beds were comfy, kitchen was fully equipped, pool/yard is amazing, grill is great-I made tri-tip and chicken kabobs one daySome things (kitchen and baths) could be updated, but its nothing that would compromise a good time. After I booked and received all the rules of being a guest in Palm Springs, I started to second guess renting a house vs just getting a hotel room. No music, no noise, limited guestsit was a real downer considering this house is an entertainer. We were so busy visiting/vacationing that it wasnt a problem at all. This place is in a great location.I walked/ran the great historic neighborhood every morning. Theres a great coffee/bagel shop just over the bridge and around the corner (walking distance). Plenty of grocery stores and restaurants close by. Joshua tree is less than an hour away-totally worth the drive. If you go-leave by 6 so you have plenty of time to enjoy the park before it gets too hot out. Id stay again/recommend this place to an active group/family that wants a nice quiet place to relax after enjoying the attractions or spending the day in and or around town.

THis house is a fantastic meeting space for family and friends. There are large sitting areas, a great pool and deck, lots of lounge chairs and floats. We would have loved to play music outside but that was a small inconvenience. The location was very close to everything!

This property was AMAZING it was so Hollywood, very chic very fun. We did have an issue with the AC going off and two of our toilets not working but the management company did such an amazing job getting someone in to fix those issues, and moving us to another house. we will defiantly be back to this house.

The PS Starlet is quite possibly the best Airbnb Ive ever stayed in. The large collection of vintage movie posters was a classy tough that brought character and color to every room. The space is massive and more than we needed for the six of us and that pool and view is one of the best in Palm Springs. It feels stylish, private, and effortlessly relaxing. We cant wait to go back.

We had four women and each had a nice room. The pool and spa was beautiful with full sun all day. The house too was full of sun with priceless movie posters everywhere. All needs were met. Best equipped house I have stayed in. Loved it. Date of arrival - March 3, 2020

Exactly as pictured or even better. Such a great house, tons of room and loved all the old movie posters and the classic record player. Its just a fun place to stay and super comfortable and convenient to everything. Also. Great fenced yard for the dog. Weve rented lots of houses in Palm Springs and this is definitely one of our faves. And the management company was great to work with. Date of arrival - February 28, 2020

When the mornings were chilly, we could sit in the panoramic windows facing the pool and mountain and watch the sun hit the peak, waiting for the spa to warm. The house is spacious, beautifully furnished and equipped, on a street with innovatively-landscaped properties, in a good neighborhood for walking. Were coming back. This house was great, decorated with vintage movie posters (heavy on the Barbra!) and even a record player to play vintage albums. It was clean, very spacious and comfortable, very private yet really centrally located to even walk to some places. Pool area is great with a large grill. The management team was really helpful and very responsive, even helped retrieve some left-behind items after our stay and helped them back to us. All in all, a really great, relaxing place to enjoy Palm Springs.

A fantastic property close to the town centre The agency were excellent- nothing was a bother. And the owner had provided everything we needed from coffe filters to salt and pepper and a cupboard full of spices , washing up stuff and all the basics that you need but are rarely supplied in a rental. The pool was a great size and lovely and warm for our two granddaughters. The whole family loved it. And Palm Springs is fantastic family destination

All the thumbs up!! 6 guests stayed here for my 40th birthday week. It could not have been a better location. Everything about this house was perfect. Plenty of space. The layout is completely unexpected and offers great gathering spaces and private/quiet bedrooms. The yard is large and feels so secluded when you are actually walking distance to town. Checking in and out was a breeze with friendly people. The amazing painting of Shelley Duvall alone makes this house a gem. Thank you for such a memorable and relaxing birthday. It's likely you'll see us agai

We LOVED our stay at the PS Starlet! Location is very close to everything yet *just* far enough off the beaten path to feel private and secluded. Molton Brown products in the bathrooms were a nice classy touch and told me that my host has good taste. We loved the record player, communal work space(sssss) indoors and out and really enjoyed our "work" trip. Yes, we were actually working, however, getting a tan at the same time. I'd definitely stay here again! Thank you!

This house was wonderful. My family and I loved the pool area very much. Beautiful landscape everywhere you looked. It was close to the strip of stores and restaurants/bars. The tchotchke stores I can live without, but fabulous furniture stores/thrift stores were a treat. My favorite part though was the easy drive to Joshua Tree, about 40min. Many little adventures. Also to note, the airport is only 2 miles away!!! I would definitely stay and recommend this place. :)

Wonderful stay The house is so fun and absolutely gorgeous! We enjoyed the pool with the view of the mountains and palms and the house was the perfect size for 8 people. The staff was very nice during checkin and checkout. We did a lot of cooking and my only wish was that the kitchen were more organized- it was hard to find certain things and items were missing (example there was a base to a blender but no blender so my friend picked up one on the way). I would still recommend the stay!

We had a great stay here. View from secluded pool area was fantastic. Not walkable to things, but only 5-10 min. drive to downtown, and 1/2 mile walk to free Buzz shuttle bus stop. Property was exactly as advertised. Pool and hot tub heat were great and very fast. Bedrooms were nicely spread out for additional privacy.

The layout of the house is great for large groups. There were 8 of us. Great views of the mountain. The kitchen is fully stocked as we made dinners there most nights and breakfast. It's a short 5 minute drive to the downtown area or a 15-20 minute walk. The management was very easy to reach and communicate with. They were very accommodating with us having our well-behaved dog. Great quiet getaway in Palm Springs. My husband and I and our little dog had a great stay at this home. The yard/pool area was very comfortable with amazing views of palm trees and mountains. Inside, the home is well appointed and has a fun, vintage vibe. We loved the old Hollywood movie posters! The couches are especially cozy and roomy - plenty of space to watch a movie. Everything was clean and in working order. I really liked the added touch of plush white bathrobes in the closets. Would definitely come again!

Only stay here if you like a beautifully decorated, quiet, relaxing atmosphere. This property is spectacular if you're looking to unwind in a exquisitely clean and quiet home in Palm Springs. Possibly the most artfully decorated vacation home I have ever been in. Cozy yet open floor plan with every amenity you could ever want. Wet bar, board games, MP3 hookup. The centerpiece is a fantastic pool and spa in a backyard with foliage shaped in a way that makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Gorgeous views of the mountains. Plenty of lounge chairs. BBQ. Picnic table. Just truly wonderful. We had three couples who all had their own bedrooms essentially with private baths. We arrived Friday evening and literally didnt leave the property until Sunday afternoon. The gentleman who checked us in was great. Lots of personal recommendations had we decided to leave the compound and clear and concise information regarding the property. Can't wait to go back.

Gorgeous home and pampered experience. My six girlfriends and I shared this place for a Bachelorette weekend and we could not have been happier with our stay. The check in process was smooth even though we arrived slightly late (6pm) and we were given a nice tour upon arrival. The kitchen and bar were fully stocked with everything you need to accommodate 8+ people. The modern decor was flawless and since we kept the noise level to a minimum (which we were warned is a BIG NO NO), it was all smooth sailing! I would definitely recommend this home to anyone and would love to stay here again.
