Enter the living room and you’ll enjoy an open floor plan with beautiful new tile floor. With plenty of seating, everyone can enjoy an easy afternoon or perhaps an early cocktail hour before heading out to dinner. The living room flows seamlessly into the dining room so no one misses out on the action. The contemporary dining area features seating for 6 or up to 8 comfortably and is steps from the kitchen.
The well-stocked kitchen with new stainless appliances has all the tools you’ll need to make entertaining a snap. Downtown is just minutes away just in case you’d rather enjoy the city and sights of Palm Springs.
This home offers great bedroom separation and sleeping arrangements. The master bedroom, on one side of the house, is spacious and offers its own private, full bath with step-in shower. On the opposite side of the house, you’ll find 2 guest rooms: one guest room offers a king bed while the other offers 2 twin beds. These twin beds can be converted to a king with prior notice to management. Just outside each of these bedroom doors is their guest bath.
The backyard is almost fully decked with tons of entertaining space and plenty of covered seating, too. Outdoor dining is covered so you can maximize outdoor living both day and night. There are 4 chaise lounges to catch the rays you were seeking in Palm Springs. The outdoor kitchen will make grilling fun and the counter at the grill with bar-stool seating ensures you can bring cocktails and snacks to keep the grill master entertained. There’s a half-bath/powder room on the patio for everyone’s convenience.
Named after the owners’ charming 4-year old Yorkie, PS Murphy is an ideal getaway: comfortable, uncomplicated and suited for every age! Dog-friendly, of course! Murphy wouldn't’ have it any other way.
Please note that the maximum number of guests for a home this size is 6 (8 if the 2 additional guests are 12 years of age or younger) per Palm Springs Ordinance #1748. It should also be noted the City has sound ordinances that are strictly enforced. No outdoor amplified sound (music) at all. The owner(s) like to stress this home is ideal for a dream vacation and relaxation but is by no means a “party-central” home. Each guest is expected be as good a neighbor as the owner(s) themselves.

Good location. Easy drive to downtown and activities. For the money we thought this was a good value. The house is in good shape and the kitchen is well supplied with everything you need for cooking. The best feature is the back yard area. Great pool and hot tub, good cooking area with a very nice gas grill and lots of outdoor furniture if you have guests as we did. Also, the property management company was the best we have seen in some time. Not that we had issues, but they helped us get the TV's working and figuring out the thermostat.

Great house and very comfortable. The backyard was incredible. Landscaping, pool, and lighting made it very relaxing. Sitting outside at night and listening to the wind in the palm trees, combined with the lightning was definitely one of our favorite parts of the trip. No complaints about the house at all. The outdoor music laws in PS are a definite bummer though.

We loved this house! It was in great shape. Everything was there as advertised. The house was clean and had the essential items we needed. It is close to the airport, but you don't hear airport noise. And it is very close to downtown PS and the other attractions such as golfing and the aerial teams. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Lovely Oasis in Palm Springs
We throughly enjoyed our stay at PS Murphy house! The backyard was lovely with palm trees, pool, hot tub and many options for sitting, eating or sunning. The kitchen was well set up for preparing meals. The king bed was very comfortable. The towels were thick and fluffy and the water pressure was good. The house had many options for relaxing, reading or watching TV. The house is near the airport, but we were not bothered by airplane noise. David, our contact, was amazing! He responded quickly whenever we contacted him. We will definitely be staying here again.

We had a great time at PS Murphy! The outdoor space of the property was spectacular! However, we were there during a colder week, so didn't use it as much as we thought we would, but made very good use of the hot tub! I only gave a 3 star on the location because that's a 2 sided question. The location to everything was fantastic, hiking, parks, golf, pickleball courts, groceries, all so close! But this home is in a "neighborhood". We did feel restricted a bit by making any noise outside...the whole no music outside was very much a bummer for us, but even when we talked outside there were dogs that barked. The house was very well equipped, although I'm not sure if it's the hard water, but dishwasher didn't clean very well, but with everything you would need for a larger crowd, clean, comfortable...the white family room couch was super comfortable! We had a wonderful time with our family and would do it again!

This was a lovely little place to spend Thanksgiving week with family. The house is very comfortable, the kitchen is quite well equipped for all kinds of cooking and baking, and the outdoor area is especially well designed, with beautiful landscaping and a variety of spots for eating and relaxing in the sun or shade (depending on the weather). The pool is a lot smaller than it looks in the photos, but still big enough to swim short laps in. The hot tub fits 5 comfortably. The neighborhood was nice and quiet: not quite centrally located, but we could find everything we needed within a 5-10 minute drive. It's very close to PSP airport, and we were concerned that there might be noise, but we never saw/heard a single plane (I think the flight path must go in the opposite direction). All in all, a totally enjoyable place to relax.

We love the mid century vibe of the house. The Pool and spa are nicely maintained. The beds and linens are very nice. We didnt cook but the kitchen seems to be well stocked. We would definitely stay here again. The management company was very easy to deal with and seemed on top of everything.

I cant say enough about the service we received and the home. Me and a few of my girlfriends, all who work in the nonprofit sector and spend our days and nights caring for others, were in need of a stress-free girls trip - and thats exactly what we got. The home was immaculate, the pool was sparkling clean and welcoming, the outdoor kitchen and bar gave us space to cook, laugh, and enjoy one another. The various sitting areas throughout the backyard allowed us to come together when we wanted and to be off by ourselves when needed. This home was exactly what we needed. Now on to the service, which started way before our arrival. Everyone was so kind and ensured that we had all the information we needed before our trip. Upon arrival we received a call to ensure that everything was up to par and to see if we needed anything. I stated that we plan to go to lunch and dinner and I was immediately given recommendations and a later call back with the available reservation times for a few restaurants. Who does that - they do?!!!!!! I cant say enough about the service we received, we needed it badly and it was given freely. Thank you for taking care of three women who badly needed to be taken care of, we will definitely be back!!!!

This house was perfect for our relaxing Palm Springs getaway. The outdoor living space and garden is complete and is exactly what one needs for some serious R&R. We enjoyed grilling and cocktails at the outdoor kitchen, dinner at the large outdoor dining table, and lounging in the pool and hot tub. The furnishing and interior were all very nice. Would stay here again.

Palm Springs Oasis-The best backyard and pool
We absolutely loved this backyard and would highly recommend this listing if you hope to be swimming and grilling during your Palm Springs vacation. We paid extra to heat the pool and learned that 88 degrees is the magic number for a comfortable swim. The hot tub was fantastic after a day of hiking and it heats up amazingly fast. We loved all the outdoor seating options and gorgeous outdoor kitchen which we used several times. The cooks were thrilled that the propane was piped in so no worries about running low. The house itself was great-there is a comfortable family room area and while the kitchen is smaller it is well stocked (it desperately needs new sharp knives!). The house is decorated and well appointed, and the mid century decor was fun and perfect for the area. To note-this is a neighborhood of homes on the outskirts of Palm Springs towards the highway which can be a windy area. It is also NOT a great walking neighborhood especially with no sidewalks and a very busy road nearby. We turned that into a silver lining and found a fantastic walking park in the studio movie district of Palm Springs (forgot the name)-its about a two mile drive so we walked our dog there daily. It was great-lots of shade and great loops to walk on. We also loved the Molton brown products in the house and working with relax palm Springs was seamless-better communication than we have had with any other rental company. Highly recommend any rental through them and While this neighborhood has some nice rental homes along with some older homes that Needed TLC-you wont regret the time spent in the gorgeous back yard!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was clean and very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need, even for making Thanksgiving dinner. The bed linens were wonderful and there were plenty of nice, plush towels (including pool towels). It's located in a cool neighborhood in a great location. Close to several grocery stores, hiking spots, and restaurants. I would have given 5 stars but we had a problem with the hot tub/pool which wasn't resolved until the day we were leaving, so that was a bit of a bummer. But otherwise, all was good and I would recommend.

We loved this place, and the property managers were fantastic. We know all VRBO photos never live up to their promise, but this place came the closest to all the rentals we've visited. Pool and hot tub were kept at a perfect temperature, and the kids were thrilled. Very well stocked kitchen -- we were able to cook Thanksgiving dinner with ease. Good location, easy to get to everything. And lastly, we really appreciated being able to have our dog with us. We have this bookmarked for a return!

Fantastic mini vacation at PS Murphy! The property has everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay. Kids had the best time swimming in the pool all day. Outdoor bathroom was handy to keep from trekking water into the house; beds are super comfortable; house came stocked with plenty of toiletries, soap and other cleaning supplies; and property managers were always accessible. Only minor issue was water temp in spa and master shower wasn't as hot as we would've liked, but definitely would stay here again :)

The property is quiet and well equipped. We really enjoyed the pool, hot tub and the outdoor kitchen. The property could use a little bit of an update, particularly in the pool area. The outdoor patio roof leaks really bad when there is rain, which was a bit of a bummer, since you cant sit outside when its raining. The neighborhood isnt the nicest area weve stayed in PS, however, it is convenient for getting around. The managers of this place are awesome. We had a couple of issues in the beginning of our stay and they handled them immediately and were fantastic to deal with. Overall, the place was nice and quite comfortable, it could just use a little TLC.

We stayed for 6 weeks and completely enjoyed the property. We never wished we were home or somewhere else. Murphy is well appointed, plenty of comfortable seating throughout all the rooms which we've found isn't always the case when renting in PS. The pool area was great; plenty of room and places to lounge around including the BEST GRILL I've ever used! Fantastic! Just great! The kitchen was very nice and well equipped with dinnerware, flatware and serving pieces. A previous renter had not done a good job cleaning up some pots and pans before they left, but there was a good selection of cooking utensils to use for cooking. Lighting throughout the property was good; we are bed readers and the master bedroom was well lit for bedtime reading; again, and surprisingly not always the case when decorators go for looks over function. Nice that we had both. But the best part of PS Murphy? The property managers at RELAX Palm Springs! So responsive! Nice guys! Gave us a thorough and worthwhile introduction to the property, the pool, the spa, inside heat, TV, etc; everything we needed to know. They bent over backwards to help us navigate flooded, washed out roads following the February rains on our arrival; turned pool heat on and off via text; good recommendation for a dentist to deal with a loose crown. Both our damage deposit and the unused portion of our heat/gas deposit were returned at the first credit card billing cycle without us having to jump through any hoops. A great property and a great property manager; I'd rent again but we've already rented a different unit from the same managers for next year for a new experience. It's nice to know that we have nothing to worry about for next year and we'll be well taken care of.
