As part of the County Health Supervisor's restrictions on short-term lodging, extra "daytime" guests are not allowed during the Co-Vid pandemic. The only guests allowed on the property are the guests registered as overnight guests.
Following guidance from health organizations, some guest amenities will be modified per safety recommendations. I.E.: extra spices in the kitchen will limited, extra or decorative pillows and blankets will be removed, Modest changes but in favor of caution and guest safety. We have also invested in and are using an OSHA/EPA-approved, hospital-grade disinfectant on hard surfaces and high-touch areas throughout each home.
Welcome to PS Citrus – an authentic mid-century home built in 1960 and lovingly held and restored by members of the original homeowner’s family! Featuring an amazing entertaining backyard, large pool and extra-large cascading spa and mini-grove of grapefruit, lemon and lime trees, this scent-acular home is sure to quickly become a guest favorite. Centrally located in the “wind-free” zone of Sunmor Estates, this beautiful vacation rental is a short drive to downtown Palm Springs, with its many bars, shops, restaurants, and art galleries. Other Palm Springs attractions are similarly a short drive away, from area casinos and gambling, to world renowned spa resorts, tennis, golfing, and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.
Step inside this home and you’ll immediately recognize the homage to its Mid-Century roots with an interior breeze block wall entry. The floor plan is inviting with a large living room, indoor dining and galley kitchen open to all. The living room features a concrete gas fireplace, large flat screen smart TV and plenty of seating for a movie night. The indoor glass dining table can be expanded to seat up to eight and is convenient to the galley kitchen with modern appliances, a breakfast bar and cocktail nook. Entertaining flows easily from kitchen to indoor dining and living and through sliding glass doors to the outside covered dining and gas BBQ area.
PS Citrus offers great privacy inside and out with the Master Suite located at the front of the house and the two guest bedrooms located at the back of the house. The Master Suite offers an additional retreat with foldout futon sofa and glass sliders to the breezeway between the kitchen entrance and the garage leading out to the back yard. The Master bedroom has a King bed, large flat screen smart TV and ample closet space. A bright and modern bathroom offers a tall walk-in shower and skylight. The first guest bedroom has a queen bed with flat screen smart TV and glass sliders to a cozy bistro set off the rear yard. The second guest bedroom has two twin sized beds that can easily be converted (with prior notice to arrival) to one King as well as its own flat screen smart TV. Both guest bathrooms share the modernized hall bath with a large walk-in shower with glass sliding doors.
Outside, find yourself in the land of games and citrus with 8 mature fruit trees, two gaming areas for bocce ball, horseshoes, corn hole and a full ping pong table. Resting in the back corner of the property is Bob Belle, the resident tiki totem hand-carved by a family member from one of the 100-year old palm trees that existed originally on the property. The entire back and side yards are surrounded by a stunning custom wood and steel basket-weave fence. Multiple seating areas throughout the yard offer gorgeous South and West mountain views and a variety of gathering sizes from the covered 8 seated dining table with ceiling fans to the four-seating breakfast table to the two-seating bistro set off the first guest bedroom. A fantastic 6-8 seating arrangement is also placed beside the BBQ as is seating for 6 more around the raised and beautifully tiled gas fire pit. The pool area offers a large 30 x 15 pool with water feature jets, umbrella sleeves, five sun loungers and an extra-large cascading Jacuzzi with its own seating ledge. The spa alone is 64 square feet and can hold the entire guest list. The eight citrus trees scattered throughout the yard are yours to enjoy whether you are smelling the blooms of the next season’s harvest or enjoying the current fruits.

Beautiful mid-century homes all around the bike-friendly, walkable neighborhood. View the Tram Station light at night from the backyard and perhaps even fireworks on the 4th of July (check the local fireworks schedule).
The owner(s) like to stress this home is ideal for a dream vacation and relaxation but is by no means a “party-central” home. Each guest is expected be as good a neighbor as the owner(s) themselves. Special events like weddings are NOT allowed. Palm Springs has strict sound ordinances that prohibit outdoor amplified sound. Review with management for clarifications.
