A fine neighborhood in North Palm Springs, this area is home to brilliant examples of the midcentury modern lifestyle and presents some architecturally significant homes by famed designers. If you are a fan of midcentury, always wanted to see what it was like to live in a midcentury home, or looking for a place to rent for Modernism Week, youll have to check out some of these amazing properties.

Vista Las Palmas and Old Las Palmas make up the area directly north of Downtown Palm Springs continuing from Alejo Road north to Vista Chino and from Palm Canyon Drive. Rich in local and celebrity history, these neighborhoods housed Hollywood stars like Liz Taylor, Elvis Presley, Dinah Shore and Liberace. More recently you would find Cher or Leonardo DiCaprio.

North of Vista Chino and including the areas you first pass entering Palm Springs from Highway 111 or Gene Autry Drive, you will enjoy examples of classic midcentury homes and newly-constructed residences. There are some parts of this area that are in the flight path of the airport, but most guests consider it irrelevant when they find planes only passing for a few seconds. Mother Nature can present wind challenges in the Spring. With wonderful neighborhoods like Sunmor and Sunrise Park, Central Palm Springs is prized for its "residential" feel but still is just minutes from downtown and her shops and restaurants. Old, architectural wonders reside next to elegant new homes in discreet neighborhood planning.

Long sought after for full-time residents and vacationers alike, it offers fine Palm Springs home in a "wind-free" zone. Situated closer to South Palm Canyon, you are just minutes from South-end shops and restaurants, but still just minutes to downtown and quick access to Highway 111 and an easy drive to other desert cities.
